SBC DIGEST: Resolutions portal closing soon; New podcast features SBCPC personalities; Registration nears 8,000

Resolutions portal to close next week

By BP Staff

NASHVILLE (BP) – The time to submit a resolution to be considered for the 2024 SBC Annual Meeting is growing short.

The portal remains open through 11:59 p.m. on May 22.

“The resolutions process empowers the messengers to speak with one voice on current and enduring topics that further our mission of making disciples of all nations,” Resolutions Committee Chair Kristen Ferguson told Baptist Press.

This is the first year for a new process adopted by messengers requiring resolutions to be presented in preliminary form no later than 10 days prior to the SBC Annual Meeting. A final report will be published in the meeting’s first daily bulletin.

The Resolutions Committee is meeting next week in Oklahoma City to review the submissions.

There is also a submission path for those without internet access. “Those without access to a computer may contact the office of the vice president for communications at the SBC Executive Committee to receive a proper submittal form,” the rules state.

The 2024 SBC Annual Meeting is scheduled for June 11-12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
